2/9/2012 Song of the Day

Picked up a part-time job this week and instantly became SO frakking busy i didn't even have a chance to do the song of the day for wednesday... :( Not like anyone cares. :'(

And since im up late working, 2/9's SOD is posted early. It's thursday now and i feel like a darker grinding marching techno track from Good ol' Dutch duo Mason. It's called 'Ignite'. Keep truckin' the weekend is on the horizon... somewhere far far away on the horizon...

Song of the Day 2/7/2012!

Today's song of the day is actually 87 songs. In a mix. 84 minutes long. From Dieselboy. He released this mix yesterday and was all jacked about it, and I quote:

"My goal is to make the most intricate, layered, and amazing mix that’s ever been done. Period. I’m not trying to just put out a mix; I’m trying to put out a mix that other DJs will listen to and aspire TO do. I don’t fuck around. I want to be amazing."

SO, if you feel like listening to like 60 Drum & Bass tracks and the rest dubstep tracks all, at least mathematically, less than one minute, then you're about to have a great freaking tuesday.

2/6/2012: Song of the Day!

After playing the Syndicate demo, in which you rip computer chips out of peoples' heads, there's an intense trailer which makes the game look probably legitimately twice as good as it actually is. And most of that is probably because of the song. Skrillex worked on the song officially for the game as far as I understand. It would probably make a montage of old people in a nursing home twice as intense...

Song of the Day 2/3/2012! For friday I felt it was appropriate for something slightly more upbeat. If we're measuring temperature by the # of motorcycles that drive by per hour, my office is 10,000. I'm trying to tell you that it's f'ing hot in here. This has nothing to do with today's song, OR does it???

Song of the Day 2/2/2012: Groundhog Day!!!

Song of the Day 2/2/2012! Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter... I'd like to imagine this song was playing in his sweet little hut-home where he pigs out and doesn't hibernate all winter like normal groundhogs. But like yesterday's song, this one is too high-class for the likes of ground-dwelling lessers. This is a kinda gritty tech house track led by unrelenting base lines called "The Original Idea" by Bufo (Wolf Trap is the label).

What's up everyone? I'm going to start posting a song daily here to help you get that teknis fix in-between overdue chintz podcast episodes. Hope to see some likes and opinions about the songs as well!
